BLOG POST 17 / LET'S "TACO" 'BOUT SOME THINGS

First of all, how beautiful is Taste Kitchen's new restaurant? That blue is hypnotizing. Secondly, we've got to say a big THANK YOU to the two guys at the center of our feature on TK's new spot -- Martin Franco and Tom Spears. Tom is a good friend and had suggested featuring his cousin's new venture a couple months ago. We were all about it. It had all the makings of a perfect DWF story--food, creative collaboration, local business, art, community. And it offered us an opportunity to begin stretching out into neighborhoods other than downtown. It's nice to see Martin supporting his Sunnyside neighborhood by bringing new life to it with his inventive Mexican cuisine. Nothing draws a crowd like tacos, and we hope other businesses follow suit and make Sunnyside a vibrant place to be. Martin is literally super human! He was in the middle of opening a restaurant and still found time to answer our questions (insert praise hands here). And Tom--not only is he a brilliant artist, but he's apparently a skilled photographer as evidenced by the photographs he took for the piece. We are so grateful for those guys. What a way to end 2017!

With 2018 just weeks away there is still a lot of work to be done. We are currently planning new content and collaborations for the coming year. And shortly after Christmas, we hope to have our PRINTED end-of-year retrospective in shops around the Central Valley for you to get your hands on. It gives us chills to say that! We cannot wait for the day when you can enjoy the full magazine in printed form. Goals!

Stay tuned over the next couple weeks and let's finish this year together.
