BLOG POST 29 / SOUP'S ON!

We are just a week away from our next dinner party. Holy cow! It's so close we can almost hear the dinner bell ringing. While most of the details for this latest gathering fell into place pretty naturally, our biggest challenge this time around was finding the right location. Luckily, within the past couple weeks, we were able to find the perfect spot. One that, quite honestly, we didn't even know existed before we started doing research, but which pairs perfectly with the theme of the dinner.

Harvest Fields, a small, family-run organic farm on the campus of the Fresno Adventist Academy, is the spot! You wouldn't expect such a thing to exist just across the street from the airport, but it does. David Obermiller is the farm's director, and lives on the property with his family...and roughly 130 free-roaming chickens. The farm offers kids at the academy an opportunity to learn outside of the classroom, and get a little dirty in the process while tending to plants in the green houses, or working with a variety field-grown crops. 

We are so excited to showcase what this farm has been offering the community since 2014. And show people what has been hiding in their own backyard.
