It’s an all-day party in Old Town Clovis on September 21, when Taking it to the Streets literally does just that. Musical performances by local bands kick things off that morning and wrap things up in the evening. But in between is a Taste of Clovis, where you can sample food a drink from great local establishments like House of Juju, The Craft House and Michelangelo's.
Also, various pianos (like the one below designed by mobile ice cream shop Cherry on Top, will be installed throughout Old Town Clovis for people to enjoy and play for the next several months. During the Taking it to the Streets event, the pianos can be bid on, with the proceeds going to local charities.
You love Elowyn. We love Elowyn. Everybody loves Elowyn! And then she pairs up with Madewell for an event and everyone’s heads explode! haha Not really, but you get the gist of what we’re saying. Everyone’s favorite watercolor artist will be doing portraits at Madewell in Fig Garden Saturday afternoon.
Fall activities are the best. At least we think so. At the top of the list of fun fall outings is a trip to the pumpkin patch. On Saturday, October 19, Sweet Thistle Farms will host a u-pick pumpkin patch…and then some. Hayrides and farm tours round out the festive fall activities that day. The event will also feature cheese tasting in celebration of Rocky Oaks Goat Creamery’s first anniversary.
Not to be too cheesy, but this sounds like a gourd-eous afternoon!
We don’t need to tell you that the Old Town Flea Market is kind of a big deal. Since it started in 2013, this pop-up marketplace has quickly become a prime spot to get vintage and hand-made goods in the Central Valley. Two markets are held each year, so this’ll be the second and final one for 2019 (and this current DECADE).
If you’re on the fence about attending, check out the market’s website for more info. And if you’re STILL not convinced you want to allocate a couple hours of your precious free time to this event, we have two words for you: Christmas gifts.
This is not so much an event, as it is a call to action. Your Story to Tell, a storytelling program for women, is looking for participants for its fall academy. The program is hosted by the incredible Diana Diaz, whom you may know from Real Authentic Women Wellness (RAWW). If you’ve got a story to tell and want help telling it, definitely check out this program.
If you’re looking to get your hands on some beautiful vintage items for your home, you’ve gotta check out this pop-up. It’s happening Saturday, Sept. 14. This is the second pop-up hosted by Found Co. BUT…you’ve gotta reach out to Juliann Love for the location. So, get to it.
After a year of plant pop-ups all over town, Yasmeen Gonzalez is finally putting down roots in Old Town Clovis. If you’ve seen her sneak peeks on Instagram, you are probably shaking like a leaf with excitement. So go check it out on Friday and support your local plant lady.
